President Trump has decided not to formally acknowledge June as Pride Month which is a total shift from the previous years. President Biden issued an official Pride Month proclamation in June 2024, and President Obama held White House Pride receptions annually. President Trump has also introduced policies that remove LGBTQ content and resources from agency websites, he removed funding from youth suicide prevention programs tailored to LGBTQ teens. Transgender references were removed from federal platforms.
President Trump identifies himself as a defender of Christian values. As soon as he was elected President, he signed executive orders allowing religious organizations to be more politically active. The policies he set in place protect the Christian community as well as its values. The LGBTQ agenda opposes the scriptures in the word of God which is the main reason President Trump opposed the agenda.
