A legacy beyond religion
Pope Francis’ influence extended further than the catholic church. His progressive views on climate change, migration, and economic inequality earned him admiration from people of many backgrounds. His humility was seen through his choice of clothing, for example, choosing simpler clothing, and living in a guesthouse rather than an extravagant home. His lifestyle choices made him a symbol of the kind of leadership many long for in difficult times.
