A Life Deep in Darkness
Apostle James Kawalya, a Ugandan minister, has one of the most jaw-dropping testimonies of radical transformation in recent Christian history. For 24 years, Kawalya was not just involved in occultism—he was deeply entrenched in it, serving as a high-ranking warlock across Africa. He was born into satanic dedication and was raised under demonic tutelage, quickly rising through the ranks to become what he described as a “Chief Satanic Witch.”

From that moment on, he abandoned everything he once served and committed himself fully to Christ. His chains were broken, his mind was restored, and his soul was redeemed.

Following his conversion, Kawalya founded Lifeway Church of Christ in Uganda and Transform Christian Fellowship. His mission is rooted in deliverance ministry, helping others escape spiritual bondage. His preaching is direct, raw, and full of spiritual authority, often focusing on themes such as:

- How to break demonic covenants
- The power in the name of Jesus
- Total surrender to God
He also equips Christians with prayer strategies and teaches on spiritual sensitivity, discernment, and healing.
Public Reception and Controversies
Kawalya’s bold testimony has captured wide attention, but not without criticism. Some skeptics question the authenticity of his claims due to the graphic and sometimes unbelievable nature of his past. In fact, his videos have been” taken down from some platforms like Prayer Storm due to backlash and debate.
Yet many believers and deliverance ministers such as James Aladiran and Pastor John Mulinde defend his story, pointing to the fruit of his current ministry and the many lives being set free through it.
