The past few weeks in Christian circles have been filled with shock, confusion, and more questions than answers. Pastor Joshua Mhlakela, who confidently declared that the Rapture would take place on September 23rd and 24th, is now back with yet another announcement: God has postponed the Rapture.
For many believers who took his words seriously — even waiting in forests and fields for hours — the aftermath has been deeply disappointing. Imagine waiting, watching, praying, and then returning home with nothing but questions in your heart. That’s exactly what has happened. Now, the question echoing across churches, social media, and even among skeptics is simple: “Which is which?”
And rightly so.
A Confused Flock
When a leader steps forward with bold declarations, people naturally gather around. Pastor Joshua, in one of his earlier seatings, even challenged Prophet Uebert Angel, saying the world would soon see who was truly backed by God. Many rallied behind him, convinced he carried heaven’s mandate. But when the date passed with no event, disappointment set in.
Now, with this “postponement” announcement, the confusion deepens. Many are asking: “Is this really God speaking, or is this a man speaking presumptuously?”
The Response from Other Ministers
Pastor Joshua’s words haven’t gone unchecked. In fact, many ministers across the body of Christ have strongly spoken out. Prophet Uebert Angel, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, and others have emphasized the need for clarity and truth in such matters. Their message is direct: the Rapture is too important, too sacred, and too central to our faith to be turned into a guessing game or a trend.
One preacher put it plainly: “If this is for trending, maybe the brother has trended enough. Now it’s time to stop.”
And that’s the heart of the matter.
The World is Watching
What makes this even more serious is that the world is watching. Unbelievers, critics, and scoffers are on the terraces, observing what looks to them like “Christian drama.” The more dates are set and missed, the more Christianity becomes a laughing stock. And that’s dangerous, because when the true trumpet finally sounds — when the real Rapture takes place — the world might not take it seriously, having been numbed by false alarms.
A Call for Repentance and Readiness

“Perhaps the best time for Pastor Joshua to apologize was on September 24th itself. There’s no shame in saying, “I got it wrong.” The shame is in justifying error and pushing people into more confusion. Whether he picks October 7th or another date, the pattern will remain: the day will come and go, and Christ will still return at the hour only the Father knows.“ ~ Anonymous
This is why we as believers must keep our hearts centered on Scripture:
“Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” (Matthew 24:44)
The call of God has never been to chase dates. The call has always been to stay Rapture-ready, always, serving as His royal entourage.
So to every Christian reading this: let’s not be shaken by dates, speculations, or sensational claims. The reality of the Rapture is unquestionable. The timing of the Rapture is untouchable. What we can do today is live holy, live faithful, and live prepared.
